Time has flown by for me. I have been itching to get back to stamping. I have been spending my weekends planning for school and I have missed spending a day just stamping. My students will be making paper tomorrow in class. We are finishing up a unit on recycling. Maybe I will be able to use some of the paper they make for a card…..:) Until then, here are three recent cards I have made.

Whew, it has been a while. I have been stamping tons but I have not had a chance to post. I finished up wedding shower favors (50 of them) and then needed to make baby shower favors for early December. I will post pictures soon. I still have not decided what to do for Christmas cards….I need to sit and play.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Still Missing
September 29, 2007 · 1 Comment
I have a pile of cards to share and have finally given up on finding my camera cord. :( It is gone……. So today I am heading to Best Buy to see if I can buy one without buying a new camera. I should be at SU Regionals today, but I am feeling so worn out that I am not going. :( I only wish they would let me have my stamp set that I paid for….oh well…. such is life.

Organize ????
September 3, 2007 · No Comments
Well I have a few cards to post, but I can’t. You see, I was cleaning and organizing my home this nice long weekend. And somehow in the frenzy, I have mis placed my camera cord. I’m sure I am not the only person that this happens to…..or at least I hope not. So today my job will be to find the cord.
On another note, I have finished unmounting ALL of my stamps! I am so happy that I am finished! My poor craft scissors are gunked up and will require a huge cleaning, but it is done! :) I ended up with 4 photo boxes full of stamps! I have so much storage space that is empty now!
Off to find my camera cord……..wish me luck!

Two posts in one day! Wow!
August 26, 2007 · No Comments
Some more playing. The first one uses no stamps, all I used was my CB.
The second one is a notepad holder. These are quick and easy.
This next one is a TAC stamp. I dressed up the “boa” with liquid applique and dazzling diamonds. It is VERY sparkly IRL.
This final card is made with a sheet of acetate. I had to wait until later in the day to take a picture so it is not the best quality.
The white ink is Stazon. This tutorial is available at SCS.

Yippee…stamping time for me!
August 26, 2007 · 1 Comment
I really thought I would never get a chance to stamp. I decided to check out SCS Wish RAK and stamp some images. I found a couple of people wanting Blossoms Abound. I decided I would stamp these up and get them in the mail. After I finished, I really like one of the color combos, so I decided to try and make a card with it. I have NEVER used elegant eggplant before so it was a nice change for me. Here it is:
On this card, I tried dying my own ribbon using re-inkers. I liked how the ribbon turned out, but I don’t think I will make a habit of doing this that often. It was messy!

Off to play some more….. ![]()

The Loneliest Road…..
August 19, 2007 · 2 Comments
This post has nothing to do with stamping. This post has everything to do with the love that parents feel for their child. My sister has a wonderful friend from HS, who has been dealing with a very serious issue for the past 3 1/2 years. Her daughter Sydney was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Sydney has endured 3 1/2 years of non-stop medical interventions to control and try and cure this awful disease. To read about Sydney’s on going struggle please read here: http://www.caringbridge.org/fl/sydneysims/
To find out how you can help Syndey, and other children with this awful disease please read here: www.loneliestroad.org
A local paper in our area has featured this campaign and you can read about it here: http://brandonnews2.tbo.com/content/2007/aug/18/br-hes-riding-his-bike-to-help-me/?news
Until any of us are in the position that this family is in, we will never know how it feels to live day by day not knowing what the future holds. Please help give these families the hope and support that may give them back their future- and their healthy children!

Pattern Paper saves the day…sorta :)
August 18, 2007 · No Comments
Wow! I never thought I would get a chance to sit and stamp today. And wouldn’t you know it, I could not get inspired. I think all of the stress of starting a new school <meeting new people, finding my way around…and all the other fun> has finally killed all creative brain cells! All I can say is thank goodness for patterned paper! Tomorrow DH is taking the kids out and about so hopefully the quiet will help regenerate some creative brain cells!! :) Until then, this is what I managed to complete.

Playing with a new set..
August 11, 2007 · No Comments
I started pre-planning yesterday and I was wiped out! I am in a portable this year, and it is in the very back of the school. With the heat outside walking from place to place has been miserable. But enough of my complaining! Today I had a chance to play with some new stamps! I love the new background paper in the holiday mini from SU! And the set I used is also from the mini.

Some new cards
August 9, 2007 · No Comments
Well yesterday I received my pre order for the SU! Holiday catty. Love everything! I played with some new Fluffles images a sweet person from SCS Wish RAK sent me.
I used prisma colored pencils and Gamasol to color these images.
Today is going to be full of running around and getting things ready for the start of school. DD is going to a camp at her new school today. Hopefully I will have time to stamp later! :) Have a great day!

August is HOT!
August 4, 2007 · No Comments
Whew…since we have had so much rain, I have not been swimming. Today I decided to vacuum the pool since the sun was out and no rain was in sight. I cannot believe how HOT it was! I swear even my knees were sweating!—no really they were!
I did get some stamping done.
II tried out two new things this weekend. First was paper piecing. I use to paper piece YEARS ago in my scrapbooks. I never even thought to do it with stamps and pattern paper….DUH!
Here is my 1st attempt!
Still trying to figure out how to take decent pictures……
The next thing I tried was something I have never heard of or seen…but I am sure someone already figured it out and has some cute name for it and a tutorial about it.
I have had a bottle of crystal effects for the past couple of years….I pretty much use it to glue my stamps back together
and every once in a while I will use it to accent a part of a card. Well last night I was playing…and this is what I did.
Well I have seen this jar done with CE before…but this time I tried adding some reinker to the CE and painted with it. It would be cool with a stained glass window type of stamp. The second picture I took my heat tool to the thing…little bubbles were popping up every where! I have no clue how this could be used but it was fun playing. Okie dokie, enough rambling from me….
